The Stationman (aka „Der Bahnhofsvorsteher“)


Logline:

He once was somebody, but then fate struck and now he is nobody, a drunk, a hobo. When he steals a station man’s uniform and poses with it at a railway station – to be a station man was his childhood dream. But when the villagers take him for the new station man they have been waiting for, he suddenly finds himself in the middle of a remote village’s fight for its station that is soon to be closed forever…

Er war einmal jemand, doch mehrere Schicksalsschläge haben ihn völlig aus der Bahn geworfen. Er zieht als Obdachloser durch die Lande und klaut die Uniform eines Bahnhofsvorstehers, als sich ihm die Gelegenheit bietet. Bahnhofsvorsteher sein – das war einmal sein Kindheitstraum. Als er an einem einsamen Bahnhof in der Uniform posiert, wird er von den Dorfbewohnern für den neuen Bahnhofsvorsteher gehalten, auf den sie lange gewartet haben. Er lässt sich darauf ein und findet sich auf einmal wieder mitten im Kampf des Dorfes um seinen Bahnhof, dem schon bald die Schließung droht …
