Andreas Grünberg

After finishing his studies (German Literature, Political Sciences, and History) Andreas Gruenberg worked as an executive for several companies.

In  1994 he started to work as a reader and creative consultant on the side. So he developed the critically acclaimed and award-winning feature film “PAUL IV.” (directed by Cornelia Gruenberg, 1994).  His clients also included the German TV station Sat.1 (Department for International Co-Productions, Doris Kirch). There he also worked as a creative consultant on TV-Movies like „THE HUNTED“  (1998) or  FATAL ONLINE AFFAIR (aka „Verführt – Eine gefährliche Affäre“, 1997). At that time he also started to write screenplays.

After his script “ZEIT DES SCHWEIGENS” (directed by Cornelia Gruenberg)  was sold and produced in 1996, he launched his own production company, Grünberg Film GmbH.

Shortly after he wrote and co-produced the feature film “TWO IN A BOAT (aka ZWEI IN EINEM BOOT”, directed by Cornelia Gruenberg), which premiered in 1999 at the Berlinale Filmfestival (section 14Plus).  Then the film went on the festival circuit and was invited to many international festivals in the USA, Canada, and even India. “TWO IN A BOAT” had a theatrical release in German-speaking territories and was on air on German TV many times. The movie is still available on DVD and VOD.

Since then Andreas Gruenberg has dedicated his work to the world of national and international filmmaking and worked successfully on many fiction and non-fiction projects, including POISON aka TEASE,   „IN THE NAME OF THE KING 3“, „ACHTZEHN – Wagnis Leben (aka 18 – DARE TO  LIVE)“ or „ABGESCHNITTEN“.
